Catholic Archivist Group Conference

The Diocese of Hamilton’s Bishop Farrell Library & Archives is pleased to be the host for the 2020 national Catholic Archivist Group conference.

The City of Hamilton is known for its industry (we are Canada’s largest iron and steel producer) and its beauty (with over 100 waterfalls we are also the waterfall capital of the world!).  Join us for networking, fellowship, and education as we explore the unique challenges of caring for Catholic archives in the 21st century.  With the conference theme Embracing Challenges with Grace we hope to stimulate discussion around the ways, both industrious and beautiful, that we can plan for the future.  Areas of focus for the conference include: 

  • Working together to support religious archives
  • Preserving and sharing for the future 
  • Disaster planning
